Do's & Don'ts

Definition: The transfering of your interior contents to another location; either in your home or business or at one of our locations.

There are several reasons why we may need to remove contents from your home or business. We may need to move them to another location on your property to aid us in our drying/cleaning/reconstruction efforts or your contents may be damaged and need to be moved to one of our office locations for assessment and cleaning.

Regardless, if your Project Manager or Insurance representative advise that your contents will be packed up and moved to another location you can expect SystemCare Staff to be wrapping and boxing your items.

When you know that your contents need to be packed up DO:

Throw out those items that you have been storing to throw out. We are all guilty of hoarding items that we just didn't get around to throwing out. Your contents insurance policy has limits. You don't want to waste money having us clean items that you meant to throw out.
Look through the rooms that are to be packed up and dispose of any brochures, catalogues or items that you don't care to have cleaned.
Remove any jewellery, money and/or personal items that do not need assessment.

But DO NOT:

Box any of the items that need to be moved unless you are with one of our staff. We cannot be held responsible for these items that you pack yourself, if we haven't packed them or supervised their packing.
