Effectively Capture and Control Airborne Contaminants During, Disaster Restoration, Construction, Renovation Projects and Mould Abatement

Virtually any indoor construction, remediation or renovation activity can release potentially harmful or irritating contaminants into the air including:

  • Dirt & dust particles
  • Mould, fungi & bacteria
  • Lung-damaging particles
  • Drywall & sawdust
  • Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)
  • Paint, varnish & chemical odors
  • Smoke & smoke odors

These and other hazardous indoor air pollutants may negatively impact the health, productivity and comfort of workers. Poor indoor air quality (IAQ) can lead to increased operating costs and project downtime.

HEPA Filtration is Proven to be Effective

The effectiveness of HEPA filtration and negative pressure controls in controlling exposure to microscopic airborne contaminants is well documented. When properly implemented, these practices can prevent contaminants from migrating into occupied parts of a building, greatly reducing the threat of facility occupant exposure.

Disaster Restoration Job Sites

Companies that restore facilities damaged by fire, smoke and water, sewage backups and other disasters must deal with a host of hazardous contaminants and unpleasant odors. Because most disasters involve building materials that have come in contact with water, restoration companies have to consider mould contamination–whether they like it or not–and must therefore often employ mould abatement methods and equipment.

Indoor Renovation, Construction, Demolition and Painting

Indoor projects such as renovation, construction and demolition can unleash problem-causing airborne particles, microbes and odours into the air. Even small repair and maintenance can cause microscopic dust and often SystemCare personal use Negative Air Units (also called Air Scrubbers) while doing work on such projects.

Clear the Air – because it’s the right thing to do!

Since the mid 1990’s SystemCare dealers have been using HEPA-AIRE® Portable Air Scrubbers (PAS) for capturing and controlling indoor air pollutants in commercial buildings, hospitals, schools, homes and industrial facilities. These unique systems help our customers by:

  • Protect job quality
  • Minimize contamination
  • Reduce job cleanup time
  • Improve worker safety
  • Increase customer/ owner satisfaction
  • Reduce potential liability problems

The Evolution of High-Efficiency Air Filtration

Lighter, smarter, safer and more adaptable. The Dri-Eaz DefendAir EX sets the new standard for portable air scrubbers. It provides up to four stages of air filtration, including a final-stage high-efficiency primary filter that utilizes HEPA-media. It's the most advanced filtration system in the industry!

Scrub the Air for Water Damage Restoration

Using the DefendAir EX on water damage projects is a way to reduce microscopic particulate contamination and for improved indoor air quality.

The DefendAir® air scrubber delivers true, tested High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration of 99.97% - with adequate airflow level demanded for most restoration jobs.
