There was a great deal of structural damage, but more significant was the evacuation of all 106 residents of the long term facility. Countless volunteers in the community and family members came forward to help in this time of need.

The original main part of this facility was constructed in 1886. Numerous changes and additions had been made over the decades. SystemCare – New Glasgow technicians were presented with several surprises during the drying and tearing out process. Their experience and training enabled them to overcome these obstacles.

Use of the SystemCare Infrared Camera helped to identify areas affected by the water loss and provide documentation for the many parties involved in this claims process. Working with several different government agencies was challenging at times, but they were able to meet or beat all time estimates.

Within hours of being on site the affected wing of the facility was sealed off and contained which allowed approximately half the residents to move back in the evening of the first day SystemCare was on site. Over the next few days all 106 residents were moved back in, much to their delight.

SystemCare – New Glasgow immediately implemented their catastrophe loss protocol upon receiving the call and with the help of several SystemCare locations they had the manpower and equipment to deal with this loss quickly and efficiently.
